1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Ellis Greensitt, a sole trader trading as CARBrief. Email: hello@carbrief.co.uk. No telephone. Geographical address:

Law of England and Wales.

2. What we sell

An informational plain-English action brief extracted and organised from an Environment Agency environmental permit and/or Compliance Assessment Report (CAR) that you upload or that is available on the Public Register Online.

• Free CAR check — count of actions/non-compliances and deadlines (not the full brief).
• £19.99 Full CARBrief — one CAR.
• £49.99 Permit + CAR Review — combined review.

We do not give legal advice, enforcement strategy, appeal drafting, or environmental consultancy. The Environment Agency’s documents remain the legal record.

3. Contract

Distance contract for paid products. Formed when the Stripe invoice is paid. If we cannot read a document you paid for, we refund. We do not invent findings, scores, conditions, or deadlines.

4. Cooling-off

Consumers may cancel within 14 days by emailing hello@, unless they ticked to begin supply immediately (CCR 2013 reg 37). Business buyers: consumer cooling-off does not apply.

5. Payment

GBP, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. VAT is not charged.

6. Liability

The brief is informational. The EA permit and CAR remain the legal record. Consumers: CRA rights remain. Business: liability limited to the price of the brief.

7. No enforcement help

We will not advise how to defeat enforcement, prepare appeals, or represent you before the Environment Agency or a tribunal.
